Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
What types of cars do you work on?
We work on all makes and models of vintage & classic cars. If you would like work done on a modern vehicle, we would be happy to refer you to one of our partners who specialize in this area.
Is there any work that you can't do?
We are pleased to be able to offer the full range of services to our clients, and can help you with all of your vintage and classic car needs. Whether it's a full nut & bolt restoration, engine set-up, new interior and/or paint, or a complete wet sand & polish we would love to help you take your car to the next level. Our team has a varied but comprehensive skill set, and we are comfortable working on any car.
Is there a waiting list to bring my car to you?
We typically have a waiting list, depending on the nature of the work to be done and the time of year. If you're interested in having work done, we would encourage you to contact us sooner rather than later to increase the likelihood that we can work within your parameters. We always strive to accommodate requests for certain dates and timelines, but cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so without adequate notice.
Is there any fee for consultations?
We reserve the right to charge a nominal fee for consultations that require us to travel outside of a 30km radius of the shop. The consultation fee will be credited towards the final bill, should you choose to have work completed at RWM & Co. Consultations completed at our facility are always complimentary.
Do you offer any classes or private lessons for people wanting to learn or get into the industry?
We are pleased to offer private classes for 1-4 people at a time. Classes are custom designed around the participants areas of interest, knowledge level, and time availability. Please contact us with a description of what you're looking for so we can outline the possibilities and formulate the course that is right for you. We guarantee that you'll receive an education like no other, whether you join us for 1 or 10 private sessions.
I don't have room to store my car when it's off the road. Can it stay at the shop?
Unfortunately, we are unable to store cars that are not in the process of being worked on. We are pleased to offer our customers a preferred rate at our private storage facility, space permitting. Please contact us for more information on pricing & availability.
My car hasn't moved in many years. How would I get it to your shop?
We would be delighted to help coordinate transport with you as part of the project management process. Once we have an agreed-upon start date for the project, we will arrange for your car to be picked up and delivered to our shop at a mutually convenient time. Our transport team will take great care of you and your car, and make the process as smooth as possible.
I'm thinking about buying a classic car. How do I know if it's a wise purchase or not?
Purchasing a car can often be an overwhelming and confusing process. Unfortunately, it's not always as straightforward as one would hope. We would love to help make the process a little easier for you, and can assist by providing you with relevant information on market trends & projections, an estimate of work that would need to be done, and value propositions so you can make the most informed decision possible. Pricing for this service varies; please contact us for more information.
Is RWM & Co. hiring?
We are always on the lookout for world-class talent. If you think you have what it takes, or know someone who might, we would welcome the opportunity to get to know them to see if there might be a fit. We invite all interested parties to contact us with their resume and/or portfolio so we can discuss further.
What are your hours of operation? Do I need to make an appointment to come to the shop?
We are open from 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday. Saturday's are by appointment only. To ensure that we are able to fully devote our time and energies to you, we encourage prospective customers to make an appointment to come in. Current customers who have a vehicle in the shop are always welcome to stop in and see their car when it is convenient for them to do so.
